Henry Hobart (priest) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Henry Hobart (priest) Henry Lewis Hobart (1774 – 8 May 1846) was an English Anglican priest became Dean of Windsor and thus Dean of Wolverhampton. ==Background and education== Hobart was the son of George Hobart, 3rd Earl of Buckinghamshire, a fairly unenthusiastic Member of the British House of Commons, initially as a Grenville Whig, from 1754 until 1780 and briefly served as secretary to the British embassy in Saint Petersburg.〔(History of Parliament Online: Members 1754-1780 - HOBART, Hon. George (1731-1804) - Author: John Brooke )〕 He succeeded his half-brother as Earl of Buckinghamshire in 1793. His mother was Albinia Bertie, daughter of Lord Vere Bertie (died 1768), younger son of Robert Bertie, 1st Duke of Ancaster and Kesteven. Hobart was the youngest of eight surviving children. He was born early in 1774 and baptised on 9 February in the parish church at Nocton, Lincolnshire.〔(FamilySearch Community Trees )〕 He was educated at Westminster School and at Christ's College, Cambridge, which he entered in 1793.〔(Venn, J and J.A. (1922): Alumni cantabrigienses, Volume 3, Part 2, Page 391 )〕 He graduated as MA in 1797. He was to become a Doctor of Divinity in 1816.
